Two are Better Than One

(Picture taken from Pinterest)

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one maybe overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." --Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Friendship.....Friendship is vital for living. Did you ever notice that everything is stronger when there are two instead of just one? Take a strand of hair, for instance. If you pull, it will snap, but whenever you gather several hairs together, it is much harder to break. Another example: If someone tied a thread onto a branch hanging over a creak, would you trust that little string to swing you across? I wouldn't. But when you weave several pieces of string together, you get something much stronger and capable of holding heavier weight. The tighter together the strands are, the stronger it will be. If this is true for strings, then it must also be true for the human race. We are stronger together than apart. "Iron sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17

Together we are powerful. Together we are strong. Together we sharpen each other, making ourselves a better person. And the best friendship we could possibly have is with our Lord, Jesus Christ. With Him we can do anything. Nothing is Impossible. With Him no one can knock us down. "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, He it is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

Treasured Possession

"For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the LORD has chosen you to be His treasured possession." --Deuteronomy 14:2

"I am God's treasured possession" has been running in my head for a long time. I was so sure that it was part of some verse that I looked it up and here it is. We are God's treasured possession, so don't feel as if you aren't wanted. I mean, COME ON!!! The Creator of the ENTIRE universe wants YOU! YOU ARE HIS MOST TREASURE POSSESSION! I think God is trying to hammer that into my silly head. "I have loved you with an everlasting love." (Jeremiah 31.3)  Are you hearing this? Not only are you God's most treasured possession, He loves you with an everlasting love. Nothing you do could stop Him from loving you. NOTHING! So don't feel as if God could never forgive you, because He is there, waiting for you to realize that you are His, and nothing is going to change that. Granted, God hates sin. He hates when we do sinful things. But He doesn't hate you!

Wow, that came out of nowhere! Thank you, God for these wonderful words you have given us. I feel great now! Anyways, in my next blogs I will giving "Raving Reviews" or Book Reviews, Poems, Humor, and anything else that comes to my mind.  One thing you might want to check out on Youtube is Messy Mondays. <3 A Gust of a Rose
Hello! I'm Rose, and this is my blog Reflecting Moonlight. This is my first post, so don't expect anything amazing!! :D I guess I could start by telling you a little about myself. I'm a Christian, if you couldn't tell, and I love Jesus! I love dancing, writing, and reading, also. I have a great many big dreams that I want to accomplish.

I just thought about what I could do! I could write a Bible verse at the beginning of every post that corresponds with that post. Then I could write my post. I will not do it this time though because this post really has no point to it. I just felt pressured to write a post so I have something on my blog for now, while I'm gathering my thought.  Instead, I shall put a small devotional on here to give you something a little more interesting to read that my ramblings. =)

I hope you will enjoy these posts! Have a great day and God Bless you!!

Here's the devotional(this is for girls):

So, what was I created to be? What were you created to be?

Hmmm...this is a question that has stumped me many times. Let’s just brainstorm a little bit. I know I was created by Jesus and for Jesus (Colossians 1:16b). So I was created to be God’s creation. I was created to be in relationship with Jesus.
What else?
I am created to be God’s daughter and as a daughter of a King, a Princess. With this role comes both privileges and responsibilities (Matthew 25:34).
I am created to be filled to the measure with God’s love (Ephesians 3:19). That means there are no empty spots...My life is created to be full, not empty.
I am created to be a display of God’s splendor (Isaiah 61:3). I am created to be a reflection of Him.
I am created to become more and more like my Father. The real deal.
I am created to be beautiful.
Whoa...did that catch anyone else off guard? It does me. So many times I don’t feel beautiful. I feel the opposite. Homely and average. But, not always beautiful. Created to be beautiful? That one is sometimes hard to believe. But, it’s true.
