Two are Better Than One

(Picture taken from Pinterest)

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one maybe overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." --Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Friendship.....Friendship is vital for living. Did you ever notice that everything is stronger when there are two instead of just one? Take a strand of hair, for instance. If you pull, it will snap, but whenever you gather several hairs together, it is much harder to break. Another example: If someone tied a thread onto a branch hanging over a creak, would you trust that little string to swing you across? I wouldn't. But when you weave several pieces of string together, you get something much stronger and capable of holding heavier weight. The tighter together the strands are, the stronger it will be. If this is true for strings, then it must also be true for the human race. We are stronger together than apart. "Iron sharpens Iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17

Together we are powerful. Together we are strong. Together we sharpen each other, making ourselves a better person. And the best friendship we could possibly have is with our Lord, Jesus Christ. With Him we can do anything. Nothing is Impossible. With Him no one can knock us down. "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD your God, He it is that does go with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

  2. :D These are some good points, Scarlet. Friendship is such a wonderful gift - the beauty of two being stronger together. *Smiles* I love your last point; yes, Jesus is the best of friends to have.
